Academic Projects
APSC 100 2019
Hyperloop Chassis Design
As a Chassis Specialist on the QLoop team, I led the development of a scale prototype of the Hyperloop vehicle. My responsibilities included managing materials, creating a model of the data, and building the shell of the vehicle. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in design, project management, and teamwork.
APSC 100 2020
Fuel Level Sensor Design
As a member of the Queen's Baja SAE team, I was responsible for designing and implementing a fuel level sensor system for the team's vehicle. I worked with the team to select a sensor that would fit the existing tank and integrate seamlessly. Using the sensor data, we developed a system to model the fuel level in real-time during races. My responsibilities included building the electrical circuit and collaborating with the team to analyze the data. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in sensor design, electrical engineering, and data analysis.
APSC 200 2021
3D Printing Bone Scaffold
As a member of a research team, I was responsible for designing and 3D printing bone scaffolds for use in tissue engineering. I used Solidworks to design the scaffolds and managed the 3D printing process. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in design, 3D printing, and materials management.
MECH 323 2022
Gearbox Design
As a member of a toy vehicle competition team, I was responsible for redesigning and printing a gearbox shaft and modifying the housing structure using Solidworks to maximize output torque and angular speed for an uphill and speed competition. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in design, Solidworks, and problem-solving.
MECH 46-0/2/4 2022-2023
Passive Dynamic Walker
As a member of a research team, I was responsible for designing and building a passive dynamic walker and a centrifugal base to simulate artificial gravity. My responsibilities included designing the system using Solidworks, building and testing the prototype, and analyzing the performance of the model. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in design, prototyping, and problem-solving.
2022-2023
RoboFrog Research
As a member of a research team, I was responsible for updating and redesigning a novel jumping mechanism for a robot. My responsibilities included performing parametric analysis on the model, studying the decoupling of muscle and joint movement, and analyzing the relationship between actuator speed and tendon-dominated mass-spring mechanisms to maximize jump height and distance. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in research, design, and problem-solving.
